ABOUT GOLDEN THREADS

Welcome to Golden Threads, a transformative and service-oriented organization dedicated to fostering personal and collective growth through a unique blend of live online teachings, recorded courses, in-person threshold initiations, and private sessions. In collaboration with esteemed partners such as the Eagle Condor Council, and Zen Within Academy, Golden Threads strives to create a harmonious balance between communities in need of resources and communities in need of education.

Our Story

In July of 2017 Lea Motlow went to Peru for her 61st birthday and it was the next step on a calling that she had three years prior on a personal 12 day Vision Quest.

The trip was a 12 day journey to sacred sites with Jeff Firewalker and Ellen Kittredge as an extension of the Eagle Condor Council training she had just completed in May 2017.

Everywhere they went there were these beautiful Andean mountain people, mainly women, who would put out their gorgeous textiles on blankets to sell. As the trip progressed they went to higher elevations until they reached their final stop, Apu Ausangate, where they stayed for 3 days.

It was a 2 hour hike from the lower village to the base camp where they had set up on the mountain. The women and children would walk up each morning and descend back down every evening.

The dedication of these women and children coming into the camp each day, carrying their wares on their backs, struck a deep cord within her. She realized she wanted to do more to support these beautiful people in sharing their sacred craft with the world.

Golden Threads was created as the answer to a direct call from Spirit that she received during her 3 days on Apu Ausangate.

Golden Threads offers textiles and other items from the communities in Peru that have the most need. Supporting the communities was the first intention. Additionally, Golden Threads offers these special items at pricing that is affordable to the North.

We ask you to support this vision by purchasing products and courses and sharing with your friends and neighbors as this path continues to unfolds.

Many blessings, much love and deep gratitude for all of us being a part of something that creates a future that works for us all.

The Journey Continues

In these changing times, we continued to see how we can be of service. We created connections to communities in need along with supporting the ones who are called to the Spiritual path and Andean Cosmology.

Alberto Fernandez and Lea Motlow through the guidance of the Apus, Pachamama, and Mama Coca, walked a 6 year Spiritual Path together. They walked the path of Masintin/ Yanatin, Eagle and Condor. It was a unique and powerful journey of Service.

From 2017 - 2023 they offered their teachings and support during times of the big shifts in our world. In 2023 they guided another group on a journey of initiation to receive Karpay’s at sacred sites in Peru to support each person called on their deeper soul path as a Chaka-Runa (bridge person). Lea continues to guide others, along with the Eagle Condor Council, with the assistance of the Paqos to experience an initiatory journey to support their highest souls calling. The Poem below that was written by Lea’s first teacher Kedar S. Brown , is one that guides her to this day.

Follow Your Name

Pay attention… pay attention
Be careful not to distract yourself
By focusing on the obstacles in your life

Focus on the delivery of your medicine
Not on the stories in your head
Where you recount your limitations and loss

Do not indulge in such self-importance
As a way to avoid taking responsibility
For your medicine and
The gift of healing you came here to offer.

You are the heroes and heroines of your own story.
If you are not initiated into the bone memory,
Into the mythology of your own life
You will likely be living an existence
That is not entirely your own.

The life you know you must live
Is the one standing just a few paces in front of you
Looking back over its shoulder with eyes wide,
Waiting for you to remember.

Apprentice yourself to yourself
Follow this trail to the horizon of your own vision,
The place where you live in the absence of story;
The place where the sharp edges of this unfolding moment
Demands your full attention.

Where are you?….. I am Here!
Who are you?….. I am this Moment!

Pay attention… pay attention…
Do not show up in the world in such a way
That others give you name
You have no belonging too.
